We went to an exhibit today on life under Franco. My in-laws remember that time fondly. They were employed and able to raise a large family comfortably. At the exhibit there was description of a Seccíon Femenina branch of the Falange showing propaganda for on how women live a good Catholic life. The advice ranged from faking pleasure during sex to learning how to be quiet and not waste your husband's hard earned money. My MIL says the realty was they taught more practical skills

There is some awesome fashion in Valencia. I look down a lot to avoid stepping in dog crap and see a lot of amazing footwear. You can't guess the age of the person wearing the shoes. I am frequently shocked when I see fun/funky/hip shoes (and clothes) paired with a face that appears >70.
